Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR)

Victims of sexual harassment or retaliation in Illinois, Chicago, Chicago Suburbs and Downstate Illinois may file a charge of sexual harassment with the Illinois Department of Human Rights within 180 days of the last act of harassment. Offices are located in Chicago and Springfield to accept charges of sexual harassment. The IDHR also covers discrimination based on race, age, national origin, disability as well as racial harassment. Housing discrimination as well as discrimination in higher education are also handled by the IDHR
